The University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine in coordination with the Norris Cancer Center has established a Brain Tumor Bank for the purpose of research and clinical information. This Bank has archived a great variety of CNS tumors and brain and spinal cord control tissues. The tumor speciments range from GBM, astrocytomas of different grades, meningiomas, pituitary tumors as well as metastatic tumors to the brain. This material is stored as formalin fixed paraffin-embedded blocks as well as snap-frozen tissue. These tumor specimens have clinical and pathological documentation. A great asset of thie USC Brain Tumor Bank is the diverse ethnic variety of Los Angeles, which makes these samples ideal for genetic studies. We are currently accepting tumor specimens from the local community.

Brain Tumor Bank does not offer medical advice, and should not be substituted for diagnosis or treatments. Seek a health care professional for any questions or medical concerns you may have.
